Four wavelengths
Most masks publish the wavelength they ordered from the factory. We publish what the device actually delivers.
Measured output
| Mode | Measured peak | Intensity | Dose / 10 min |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red | 660 nm | 13.6 mW/cm² | 8.1 J/cm² |
| Blue | 463 nm | 14.2 mW/cm² | 8.5 J/cm² |
| Amber + near-infrared | 600 + 853 nm | 8.9 mW/cm² | 5.4 J/cm² |
| All modes together | 463 + 660 + 853 nm | 25.5 mW/cm² | 15.3 J/cm² |
Measured at skin distance with an OHSP-350 spectroradiometer. Dose is intensity multiplied by session length — every row above reconciles to a ten-minute session.

Coverage
You usually see it in a photograph before you see it in a mirror. The face still looks like you; the neck does not.
Neck skin is thinner, with fewer oil glands and less collagen under it — and most routines, sunscreen included, stop at the jaw. So the light on this device does not stop at the chin either.

Why this one
Not just this one. Take these to whichever mask you are considering — including the four-hundred-dollar ones — and see how far you get.
| The question | This mask | Any other mask |
|---|---|---|
| What wavelengths does it actually emit? | 463, 600, 660, 853 nm | Ask them |
| How intense is it, at the distance you wear it? | 8.9 – 25.5 mW/cm² | Ask them |
| How much energy does one session deliver? | 5.4 – 15.3 J/cm² | Ask them |
| Who measured it, and on what? | OHSP-350 spectroradiometer | Ask them |
| Do the published numbers reconcile? | Yes. Dose = intensity × time | Ask them |
| Does it treat the neck, not just the face? | Yes. Hinged neck panel | Ask them |
| Who should not use it? | Published in full | Ask them |
We are not claiming other masks are worse. We are claiming that almost none of them will answer these questions — and that a number nobody has measured is not a specification, it is a hope.
Questions
Most published work on red and near-infrared light runs over four to twelve weeks of consistent use. Judge it at eight weeks, not eight days.
Follow the frequency printed in the manual that ships in the box. Each session is ten minutes, and the measured dose that delivers for every mode is in the table above.
Blue at 463 nm is the wavelength researched for the bacteria involved in breakouts. Red at 660 nm and near-infrared at 853 nm are the two researched for collagen and the appearance of fine lines, with near-infrared reaching deepest. Amber at 600 nm is the least researched of the four and is generally used for tone and redness. That is what each wavelength is researched for, not a claim about what it will do for your skin. The measured peak, intensity and dose for all four modes are in the table above.
No. You will feel a mild warmth and see bright light through the eyewear. There is no UV, no laser, and nothing that damages the skin surface.
Wear the supplied eyewear for every session. That is the standard precaution for any bright light source held close to the face, and it is not optional. Do not look directly into the diodes.
Use the device on clean, bare skin and apply actives afterwards. If your skin is already sensitised from a retinoid or an acid, give it a night off.
Send it back. You have sixty nights, it is a full refund, and we pay the return postage. No form, no restocking fee, and no questions about whether you used it correctly.
Wipe the inner surface with a soft damp cloth after each session and let it air dry. Do not submerge it and do not use alcohol wipes on the silicone.
One year against manufacturing faults on the device and the controller, from the date your order is delivered. It does not cover accidental damage. Your statutory rights sit on top of this and in many places run longer.
Because you are not paying for a decade of somebody else’s brand advertising. And because we publish our measured output, you can compare the hardware directly instead of treating price as a proxy for quality.
If your skin looks no different to you, send it back. No form, no restocking fee, no questions about whether you used it correctly.
Not for everyone — read who should not use it before your first session.
